A report on The State of Social Enterprise in Indonesia stated that around 40% of social enterprises in Indonesia are lead by women. Women-led social enterprises in Indonesia also tend to have a higher proportion of women employees than men-led social enterprises.
On another note, women make up only a third of the employee population in global Tech Giants such as Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple, and Microsoft. The gender imbalance in technology is a widespread phenomenon, in which women make up 30% of tech-related fields around the world.
There are public discussions and recognitions for women entrepreneur and women entrepreneurs and women in tech – how about both? Women entrepreneur always had a special place in Kinara’s community – and now we wanted to know what you think about Women Techpreneurs – especially in Indonesia.
